Tim Lucas has just confirmed that he'll be recording an exclusive audio commentary.

Wonderful news. Was already planning on purchasing the BFI versions over any potential US iterations, but the commentaries seal the deal (and also make the release date delay easier to swallow).

Looks like Trans-Europ-Express & Successive Slidings of Pleasure may be delayed. Amazon is now not showing release dates for either only 'Currently unavailable'.

Does anyone know what the scoop is on Trans-Europ-Express & Successive Slidings of Pleasure? Amazon.co.uk just cancelled my pre-orders outright.

Tim Lucas has recorded at least one of his commentaries, so I doubt very much that they've been cancelled.

Now these two Robbe Grillet Blu Ray's have been confirmed for release in February by Kino. Any update on the bfi side? Will the two releases (Kino and bfi) use the same source? and will they have the same extras? Thank you.

I think the Tim Lucas commentaries are BFI exclusives.

Incidentally, it's either "kino and bfi" or "Kino and BFI" - the BFI hasn't called itself "the bfi" since at least 2006.

Alongside Trans-Europ Express and Successive Slidings of Pleasure, we can also add L'éden et après, L'homme qui ment and N. a pris les dés... to the BFI's Alain Robbe-Grillet schedule. All three latter titles have been classified by the BBFC this month.

That's great news that even more Robbe Grillet is on the way, really keen to see his work. Is there any news on when Trans-Europ and Successive Slidings may be coming out?

As soon as the BFI announces anything, it'll be printed here.

I understand the US edition won't have the Tim Lucas commentary.

Seems that Redemption are bringing out Robbe-Grillet's L'Immortelle in the States along with the other titles. Would be nice if the BFI could get this one too.

Now part of a six-film Robbe-Grillet box set.
