Not very well. I'd put it just below Ministry Of Fear and Cloak and Dagger. Perhaps I had high hopes, given the glowing reviews on Amazon & IMDB and that the subject matter had high potential. But given Lang's abilities, this one came up far short of its potential. The biggest blunder is the music, which is really obnoxious. Walter Pidgeon's acting & poorly scripted dialogue, not to mention plot holes galore, also mar the film. Some of the cinematography is nice, but just emphasizes how this could have been so much better than it actually was.

Steve Rash signed copies of The Buddy Holly Story going free with qualifying orders Wed 24th 4pm EST.

SAE posted this a couple of weeks ago:
Screen Archives Entertainment has upgraded its process for managing customer data by providing increased layers of security and data encryption protocols. In order to transition your account to our new customer management system, you will be required to re-enter shipping and payment profiles to be associated with your account. Because the new Twilight Time releases generate a lot of demand, you may want to access your account now and update your information. If you experience difficulties, please email [email protected] and we will be happy to help you through the changes.
Meaning that if you want to try for a free copy of The Buddy Holly Story, make sure to re-enter your shipping and card details beforehand, or you'll almost certainly lose out. That also applies for anyone who wants The Blob, which will be up at the same time and date. It will be limited to 2 or 3 per person and there are 5000 copies instead of 3000, but I still wouldn't risk it in case there's a mad rush like there was for Christine.

The Audrey Rose cover is very good, but they should've stuck with the original font design (a custom Bookman Swash, typical of the era):

Good call on Twilight Time's part to only use the illustration portion of the poster, which makes it look like the movie tie-in paperback (but again, without that great font... and without those saturated colors).

LOW QUANTITY UPDATE - LATEST NUMBERS:
Doesn't seem to be much movement on these titles in the past few months....and still no Woody Allen title is close to selling out.

"Hey guys, you know how Criterion did that thing where the woman's face is hidden inside the cover art? Let's do the same thing only so fugly that it looks like a rejected VHS big box cover from 1993! And make it coffee-stain brown against a black void! That'll catch eyes!"

Or, in short: "Just do something awful".

It was Robert Wise's attempt to go back to his Lewton roots and The Haunting, but the result is one of his weakest films. It has a terrific premise (a trailer for a new film, I Origins, reminded me a bit of Audrey Rose) & some fine performances (Anthony Hopkins is wonderful), and the first half is creepy... but once it turns into a courtroom drama where reincarnation is put on trial & defended by people from all over the world it becomes a bit silly. Being Wise, it is more strongly directed than a lot of horror we get these days, so there is that. But overall, it's OK.

Oh! Now I see Sandra Bullock. (And not Christian Slater)

I'm also going to say I actually prefer the Blob booklet to the actual cover.

Interesting that the booklet of Audrey Rose uses the original font with the striking VHS cover/promotional photograph (but they've applied an orange filter - it doesn't look bad but I like the picture better in full color).

A couple of interesting FB snippets: Twilight Time are "hopeful" that they'll be getting Tourneur's Night of the Demon, and are trying to licence Sam Peckinpah's 1960 TV series The Westerner, for a box set release. As far as I can see it would be its home video debut, if it happens.
