Running time listed as 122 mins. The Region1 OOP MGM dvd is 128 mins. Oddly though, you would think that this Region B version would be the uncut UK version, unlike the OOP MGM Region1 release. Does anyone else have any more details about just what version of Darling we are getting?

122 mins cannot be the actual runtime of this Blu-ray. The PAL speed of the uncut version is 122m 37s, as previously released by Optimum. Proper speed would put that cut at 128mins, which I'm willing to bet is the real runtime of the BD (since again it is a SC/Optimum release). Even if it was cut, it'd still be 126/127mins, not 122. It is more common than you'd think for UK/EU labels to copy over the runtime of their PAL releases to their 24p Blu-ray specs.

Thanks for that EddieLarkin. I am region-locked so I have never really closely followed RegionB issues like compressed running time, etc from Optimum/SC.
Somehow I had a feeling that the specs would not be clear anyway, a lot of people aren't aware of the US-cut for Darling.

Hmm, PAL runtime for the cut version is 121m 44s, which fits about right with 126m 37s. Of course, it could just be down to distributor logos etc. If you have the disc tenia, details of the cuts can be found here.

But that was their own transfer, no? The true restorations of Quai De Brumes and La Grande Illusion have looked great from SC.

Has anyone seen Studio Canal's The Ladykillers 60th Anniversary edition?
I'm curious to know if it's an improvement on their previous washed-out
edition.

Can anyone who has seen the Studio Canal Blu-ray of L'Eclisse comment on the video quality (compared to the Criterion Blu-ray) ?
