For those with TCM, it will not, strangely, be airing during the Summer of Darkness promotion but is on at 415AM (EST) on July 15th if you haven't seen it and want to get a viewing in before submitting your list in November

It has come to our attention that Kino Lorber’s Blu-ray of MADHOUSE (1974) has some errors in the audio synchronization. We are reviewing the master materials now, and determining how significant the problem is. We will also determine whether the dialogue can be re-synched without compromising the timing of the music and sound effects, since the issue appears to be in the source elements. Based on what we find, Kino Lorber will decide whether or not to re-author the disc and set up an exchange program for the first-pressing discs. Thank you for your patience and your continued support.

Much as I am looking forward to the forthcoming Kino Blu of Heart of Midnight and cannot imagine it being less than exceptional I do have to wonder why Amazon (and other outlets) continue to have it listed as 93 minutes. That's the rather hugely truncated US release cut (the one that is on VHS in the States). The UK DVD is 108 minutes which is a pretty big difference. Anyway, it's hard to imagine why on such a definitive seeming disc that we'd be getting the shorter cut, especially with clear director's involvement as Matthew Chapman is doing a commentary. Unless, of course, this is the cut Chapman now endorses but that's hard to imagine too as it would be like Kubrick approving of only the shorter version of The Shining. Rest of the details look up to date on these announcements though so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
