I loved his HBO show as a kid. The title sequence is still probably one of the best I've ever seen in television.

9/11 brought out more of his right-wing leanings, to later become as David Cross put it, "George W. Bush's court jester".

Even being as detailed as we could here, we anticipate that there are questions you may still have about the cuts of the film. Our Blu-ray producer has provided a couple of Q&As that we felt might come up and that some may be curious about:

Q: Is the U.S. Theatrical version a new transfer?
A: Unfortunately, we were not able to do a new transfer of the theatrical cut (which was provided by our partners at Universal). However, we did do additional color correction.

Q: Why is the International version a 4K transfer and not the Director’s Cut?
A: Our original intention was to do a new 4K scan on the director’s cut, so we started with elements that were available in the MGM vault. Unfortunately, we could not find all of the additional footage (film and audio) for the 96 minute Director’s Cut.

From their Facebook page
***NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2016 RELEASE***
You asked for it, we listened! The underrated 2000 slasher flick CHERRY FALLS will be coming to Blu-ray for the first time sometime next Spring. Stars include Brittany Murphy (Clueless, 8 Mile), Jay Mohr (Pay it Forward, Street Kings) , Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens), Jesse Bradford (Bring it On, Swimfan) and Gabriel Mann (Revenge).
As excited as we are to be able to bring this to you (finally) we do need to address upfront the question we know some of you will have: Will it be uncut?
We were fully aware that the film suffered trims from the MPAA prior to its release so when we acquired the film we hoped that we could find the additional footage and include it—either as deleted scenes or reinstated into the film. Unfortunately, our licensor (Universal) only has the theatrical R-rated version in their vault (the same cut that was released on the long out-of-print DVD) and they do not have cut footage in question.
Plan B: We contacted the film’s Director Geoffrey Wright to see if maybe he might have the excised material but were told that he was never given a chance to assemble a longer cut originally. He did not have the footage either.
That being said, we still hope that fans will support the release in High-def. Extras are planned and will be announced at a later date. New key art is also in the works too.

THE HOUSE WHERE EVIL DWELLS & GHOST WARRIOR Double Feature

- THE HOUSE WHERE EVIL DWELLS (1982) A century ago, a samurai brutally murdered his adulterous wife and her lover before taking his own life. Now, the Fletcher family has found what they think is their perfect Japanese home – not knowing it's the same house where the murders occurred. But as strange events escalate and the ghosts of the dead begin to toy with the living, the Fletchers discover they've become unwitting players in a horrible reenactment... one which they may not survive! Stars Edward Albert (Galaxy Of Terror), Susan George (Straw Dogs) and Doug McClure (Humanoids From The Deep) and is directed by Kevin Connor (Motel Hell).

- GHOST WARRIOR (aka Swordkill) (1984) While exploring a cave, two skiers find the body of a 400-year-old samurai warrior entombed in ice. He is brought to the United States in a hush-hush operation and revived through cryosurgery. Unfortunately, he is then forced to battle for his freedom, dignity and life. This Charles Band production stars Janet Julian (King Of New York, Humongous).

SONNY BOY (1989)
We’ve released some pretty “out there” cult films (e.g. Ninja III, White of the Eye, The Island, Gun Woman, to name more than a few) but wait till you get a load of this one...

In a remote desert town, a psychopathic petty crook (Smith) and his transvestite girlfriend (Carradine) kidnap and raise an orphaned infant, cage it like an animal and train it to steal and kill on their command. Years later, when the half-wild Sonny Boy escapes and embarks on a bloody rampage, the couple's monstrous attempt at "child development" provokes the local populace into vengeful retaliation. A shattering, unforgettable performance from David Carradine (Kill Bill) powers this wickedly off-beat tale of family love gone berserk. Paul L. Smith (Midnight Express, Pieces) and Brad Dourif (Child’s Play, The Exorcist III) are also featured in powerfully moving supporting roles.

Street date is 1/26/16

Ghosts Can't Do It is one of my favorite guilty treasures that I never ever thought would come to disc. It's charmingly terrible and, in a weird way, kind of sweet. An obvious love letter from John Derek to Bo, if also a hopelessly misguided one. I can't help but love the damn thing even if I also riff on its flaws.

Bolero is good cheese too, but doesn't hold a candle to Ghosts in the "So bad it's good" department.

If anyone has played Until Dawn (which he co-wrote and had a prominent acting role in), they might be interested to know that Scream Factory are releasing a "Larry Fessenden Collection" of four of the director's previous films (No Telling, Habit, Wendigo and The Last Winter) along with various shorts next week.

Army of Darkness news
In the past few days, thanks to Army of Darkness super fans, it has come to our attention that there is a scene missing from the theatrical cut in our new Blu-Ray release of the film.

We wanted to reach out and thank everyone who wrote us about the issue and for your patience while we've worked on a resolution.

We can now announce that a replacement disc correcting the issue will be ready by early November. We'll have more information about the details of this replacement program soon. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email us at [email protected].

Fans of the legendary horror star will be happy to learn that we are planning to release THE VINCENT PRICE COLLECTION III on Blu-ray sometime in the first half of 2016!

The films in this set will include Master of the World (1961), Tower of London (1962), Diary of a Madman (1963), Cry of the Banshee (1970) and An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe (1970).
Some pretty crazy diminishing returns with these sets, huh?

Who has the rights to Theatre of Blood? I'm surprised this hasn't come out from Scream Factory or Kino yet.

There's one more title to be announced tomorrow, so stay tuned...

Big news there is Manhunter. Was really hoping Criterion would snag this, but an ultimate edition from anyone is welcome. I wonder if Mann has put together a definitive cut a la Last of the Mohicans.

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCE FOR 2016**

Happy Halloween Everyone! We start off the best holiday ever on an exciting note by announcing that we have plans to release Tobe Hooper's wild Cannon-produced sequel THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2 sometime before Summer of 2016!

Although we have no details to report at this early stage we can assure you that it will most definitely be a "Collector's Edition". More specifics will be revealed during the early part of the new year.

Now get back to watching horror films today and be safe tonight!
Since I doubt Scream is going to create a new 4K master, this is a waste of time and energy as the $8 MGM Blu-ray is perfectly fine (has an audio commentary, deleted scenes, and an 88-minute making of documentary.)

So, I have bought my copy directly from them. Do I still have to send them this email? I did not save my copy of the receipt.

I'm not sure. You should probably email them at that address ([email protected]) and ask. As long as it is the same name and address, they should be able to confirm your purchase on their end.
