Ah, that's right, DVDBeaver did mention it being a boot. Well, I'm not too worried about the TT encore edition selling out too quickly. It should take longer than its predecessor to go OOP, which was more than a year after release.

The funny thing about this Big Heat DVD that Netflix sent - it's the old Columbia disc, it looked really ok for an older DVD. No macroblocking, looked decent on my 40" across the room. Yes it could be improved, some specks and inconsistencies cleaned up, but pretty not bad.

That was a really solid transfer, in fact sharper than their later DVD of the film included in the aforementioned Film Noir Classics I set. I sold the standalone Big Heat DVD when the box set was announced, only to then find that it was a step down in picture quality, so it'll be nice to finally "settle down with" the TT encore edition.

Was Inserts delayed or does Twilight Time announce within a month of release?

They usually only put the preorders up within a few weeks of release (maybe a month?), no reason to think it's delayed yet

No commentaries on Inserts or Romeo is Bleeding? I would've loved to have gotten comments from their respective directors.

Gotta see this movie. Dumb question but I wouldn't put anything past this weird company: what happens when you combine preorders with orders of current releases from TT?

If you order from Screen Archives, your order is shipped once all the pre-orders are available. And you are not charged until then, at least for credit cards.

Although preorders can only be placed a few weeks before release, so it's not as big a deal as, say, having your whole Arrow order held up.

TT will be releasing a Marilyn Monroe film, possibly Something's Got to Give's fragments, at some point in the future

I misread that as Let's Make Love, Bitch. And I'm shocked that nobody has used that title yet!

Wasn't that an alternate title for the Entourage movie?

Are there even any truly great (non-Warners) Monroe films left that aren't on Blu? I know Monkey Business and Don't Bother to Knock have their fans (I've never seen either), but it seems like all of her "representative" films are available. Maybe Prince and the Showgirl?

That's with Warners. Don't Bother to Knock is her best film to my eyes, but then again I've never been a Monroe disciple
