This is an interesting discussion. It seems like the terms of "official" qualification are what's being discussed here, and what people need to do to earn them, just as much as the question of what title looks better on the box art.

Out of curiosity, how would you guys characterize Bobby "Linn" Hayes? I don't believe he had a degree or formal film study. But his commentary on Heroes Two is good film history, I would say. He offered original insights, he had an incredible catalog of knowledge about the kung fu and wuxia films in his head. I don't think he published anything, as far as I know, though. He helped Media Blasters line up their Shaw Brothers acquisitions when they were worried that the Weinsteins had cherry-picked the best Shaw titles already. Is he an historian?

I think the label should be applied in some circumstances where it's actually a scholarly discussion, but when it's just that he's there with a cast member for a light chat he would probably be better off going with a "moderated by" credit instead. But ultimately it really doesn't matter.

They also had her sign the promotional To Sir with Love discs last year. So I guess that means they've kept her locked up in their basement all this time.

Strangely, Doomwatch is coming from Kino Lorber. I wonder if we can get her to sign it...

Or maybe she's just happy signing stuff but other than TT don't ask her ? I know not all actors / actresses are like that, but some really like to please fans.

I wonder if this means that it will fall into Mamet's hands? A criterion would be lovely.

Are they releasing the UK or US cut of Eye of the Needle?

I read somewhere that at the end of the US cut, Rozsa´s score is cut off rather abruptly. Not so at the end of the slightly longer UK cut.

From ImdB:
Spoiler
NTSC DVD R1 and PAL DVD R2, have different endings. European PAL DVD version ending is approx. 1.5 minutes longer. In the last scene, the helicopter arrives and lands, there is a conversation with the commander about the radio transmission being interrupted and finally the child arrives and reunites with his mother. it's sort of a happy end. This ending was cut from NTSC DVD version.

Screen Archives wrote:August 16th - IT’S A TWILIGHT TIME PACKAGE STEAL! Buy seven of any of the following Twilight Time titles for $70.00 and get a real deal. BELOVED INFIDEL, COVER GIRL, HIGH TIME, MINDWARP, PONY SOLDIER, THE DISAPPEARANCE, THE KREMLIN LETTER (DVD), THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN, THE RAINS OF RANCHIPUR, THE SONG OF BERNADETTE, THE SOUND AND THE FURY, THE WAYWARD BUS, VIOLENT SATURDAY (DVD), and WOMAN OBSESSED. This is a one-time “package price” of seven titles until they are gone. It’s okay to mix and match — just buy seven of one or one each of these titles. You must have a minimum of seven titles in your cart, but you can also create as many “packages” as you like, as long as you buy seven titles at a time. Final price will be adjusted at checkout. Package deal will go live Wednesday, August 17th at 4 PM Eastern.

AKA Here are our worst-sellers! At least four of those are among the worst films TT has released (Woman Obsessed, the Sound and the Fury, Beloved Infidel, and the Wayward Bus), but I'll once more heartily recommend the Song of Bernadette to anyone who doesn't have it yet
