DVD Beaver reviews the Arrow Academy release of Love and Death, comparing it to the TT BD
To my eyes, other than the fact that the TT was a shade lighter that the Arrow, I could not discern any obvious difference in quality.

I believe Arrow is contractually obligated to use exactly the same transfers as TT did. See MichaelB's posts in the relevant Arrow thread.pointless wrote:DVD Beaver reviews the Arrow Academy release of Love and Death, comparing it to the TT BD

With Arrow's higher bitrate it probably looks more robust in motion and less noticeable in caps.pointless wrote:DVD Beaver reviews the Arrow Academy release of Love and Death, comparing it to the TT BD

From Facebook. It's the battle of the sexes as the ladies of 9 TO 5 are going head-to-head with the adventures of REMO WILLIAMS to see which of them is going to be SOLD OUT first - thanks Twilight Timers for your enthusiasm for these releases (EYE OF THE NEEDLE and MURPHY'S LAW are going gangbusters too!)

Broke down and got 9 to 5 now because that's one I'd never forgive myself missing. One of my all time favorite films and great to have a new commentary as well. New 4K scan so should look a good deal better than the DVD.

I rented Eye of the Needle and Murphy's Law from amazon streaming the other night; first was decent, other was bad - neither worth owning IMO.
I have Netflix disc rentals of Remo Williams and 9 to 5 at home right now. I always hope to like any movie I seek out, but I gotta admit every time I see a Twilight Time release that I don't like enough to own my wallet thanks me.

Nope. My Mom used to watch it all the time when I was a kid, but I only remember fleeting scenes.Moe Dickstein wrote:You never saw 9 to 5 before?

It's a really excellent piece of comedy structure writing. Colin Higgins was a master.

I remember really liking the Arthur Penn movie of The Chase. I thought it was quite good. Does anyone else remember it being quite good?
