Re: Twilight Time
I feel the same way, though I broke down and bought two MGM titles during this sale for $14.95. To buy any more Sony TT titles would be the definition of insanity.Ashirg wrote:Seeing how Thunderbirds double feature ended up with Kino Lorber and the Sony titles getting released in superior region Free editions from Powerhouse/Indicator Series, I no longer see the need to support this label, at least until the prices drop below $14.95...

Is it likely that Twilight Time will release Take the Money and Run or will that be the first Woody Criterion?

Re: Twilight Time
That's an ABC Pictures title, so it's either with Kino or Criterion.JohnShade wrote:Is it likely that Twilight Time will release Take the Money and Run or will that be the first Woody Criterion?

Re: Twilight Time
Kinda figured that Criterion had The Crimson Kimono (and Underworld USA.) Hopefully the good folks at Indicator have it/them, so I can avoid having to buy them from TT.

Re: Twilight Time
Good point. It is remarkable how consistently awful their covers are, though. Has there ever been a good one?

Re: Twilight Time
Some of the ones based on poster art (e.g. The Driver, Bound for Glory) are goodish I guess.

Re: Twilight Time
Twilight Time always manage to screw up the design on covers that use the original poster. Indicator does it so elegantly with perfect font placement, but Twilight Time feels sloppy. And the worst of their covers look like those old airbrushed, Turner VHS covers from their old RKO and MGM catalog. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Though I did actually like TT's cover for Bell, Book and Candle:

Re: Twilight Time
That title font and color scheme is basically a Newsweek cover from back in the day. It just needs a tagline, something like "Generation Samurai: What can it mean when our children and their video games and shows idolize ruthless warriors of a bygone age?"pointless wrote:
