I might have done if Christopher Lloyd had been in any of the Sinbad films...

Incidentally, I have met Tom Baker - and he is exactly as you would expect (if not, moreso).

I've bought most of mine either from Amazon UK or directly from powerhousefilms.co.uk. (They had a pretty good direct sale once, which I might expect them to repeat annually, though boxsets were ineligible.)

The price on this is a bit high even through Powerhouse's store.

? It's no different than their price for any other single title.

Actually it's 31 bucks from Indicator and I think even more than that at Amazon.uk. I got The Passenger for 22 bucks shipped from Amazon.uk a few weeks ago

It'll almost certainly drop to £14.99 from Amazon before or on release. They all do.

RRP is £22.99 for all of them and Powerhouse's shipping is always a bit steep (£4.90 for the first single title + £1.95 for each additional and £8.95 for each boxset). Presumably Amazon UK will offer this at more of a discount at some point, like mistakaninja suggests. Or if they eventually have another sale like they did last October, you might be able to pick it up then for less than $20.

DeepDiscount carries Indicator titles at a competitive price if you buy during one of their frequent sales, just FYI for those looking for stateside options

Thanks for the tip, though unfortunately their pricing isn't entirely consistent. They show some older single titles with MSRP under $30, which are definitely a great price with their typical discount plus a coupon. But it looks like everything released in the past year or so shows up with MSRP of $40 (which is inflated from the RRP of £23) at which point you might as well just order from Amazon UK. Also note: the Boetticher set is RRP £60 and the Fuller RRP £70, so fair conversions would be about MSRP $80 and $93, respectively, but DeepDiscount lists them instead at $99 and $115.

That being said, I just got $5 off an order of 2 older titles with the coupon FLASH525 today (valid today only), which came to about $31 total.

Some people mentioned on this thread that they did not receive a shipping confirmation e-mail from Powerhouse. I placed an order with them for the first time 2 weeks ago and I did receive a confirmation e-mail when they dispatched the order. Perhaps they changed their practices or they are now sub-contracting that part of their operations to a different partner.

The Harryhausen birthday special was a good deal so I finally gave in. It was more advantageous than ordering from DeepDiscount, even at the special prices they are offering right now. Especially since PH charged postage as if the whole thing was a single boxset; no tracking number as this is International Royal Mail but it took just over a week for the parcel to get delivered here in Canada. Also, no customs charges, whereas I have been told (including by my mail-lady) that Canada Customs is looking more closely at parcels coming from the US and is slapping on duties more frequently than previously, perhaps owing to the current trade climate between us and our Southern neighbours.

That's good news. I ordered from Indicator a while back during their first sale, and they shipped using Fedex, who decided to try to charge me customs fees two weeks AFTER delivering the package. That was a headache I didn't feel like dealing with again, so I as going to avoid buying from Powerhouse directly. Maybe I'll give them another try now.

Why does Amazon not stock this (Missing) or the other August releases?

I have absolutely no idea, because stock was sent to them last week. Powerhouse is looking into it.

You might want to let them know it looks like Oleanna is also about to be unavailable too, because all my other non-Indicator Sept 3 preorders are getting ready to ship

Add Ministry of Fear to the list of missing new Indicators.

I have seen it happen 2 or 3 times in the past on Amazon. Once we reach the release date, a title simply becomes unavailable from Amazon themselves and is not even listed as temporarily out of stock, but then starts popping up with Marketplace vendors, until a week or two later when it is magically reinstated in the general Amazon inventory.

I wonder if it is a recurrent and unpredictable system glitch or is due to human error, for example entering the wrong code once the items are received at the warehouse. As MichaelB informed us, the new titles have indeed been sent to them and should be physically present somewhere in Amazon's facilities, unless the carrier lost them in transit.

This has been some kind of underlying constant with independant labels, mostly (it seems) on Amazon.co.uk, but I've also seen this on Amazon.fr and Amazon.co.uk. One would think it might come from the supplier sending the stock a tad too late to Amazon, but this is happening now on such a recurring basis from so many different labels in various markets that I'm too wondering if the issue isn't on Amazon's side instead.
