I doubt there's any evidence of collusion, but they probably can't be exonerated of it either

How soon is soon? I was just about to buy the UK version but I'll definitely wait if this comes out before October.

The MOC has the massive Wilder interview that doesn’t seem like the kind of thing KL would license

Especially since they sell a DVD of the 90-minute feature version (clips of which have been on a few other KL Wilder discs) which is edited down from the full three hours on the Eureka disc.

This is a brand new 4K restoration. You can wait for it or buy the UK version with the older master.

I would prefer getting the new restoration but was wondering if this is a summer release or later. I’m asking because of this forum’s 40s list project which ends in October.

That's awesome but I'm still a little sad Sullivan's Travels evidently didn't sell well enough to justify a full Arrow Sturges box

Me too, esp since it’d prob be the only way we’d ever see the Great Moment get upgraded. I wonder if Criterion has Hail the Conquering Hero?

Just bought the DVD for the 40s decade project, so, you know, y'all welcome.

The cynic in me thinks Criterion didn't pick up Hail the Conquering Hero.

We asked for Hail the Conquering Hero and it was not available. It could be with Criterion, Arrow, TCM, who knows.

We've been trying to get all the Universal Sturges since our first deal with Universal back in the early 2000s.
