Zellweger is the strangest two-time Oscar winner. The same lead/supporting wins as Blanchett and Lange. Look at that company and look who the odd duck in the corner.

I haven’t seen this one yet, but I always liked her and just a few years ago she was Cuba Gooding Jr-level low on the totem pole in the industry. This really is one of the biggest Oscar comebacks of all time

I like this. It's much more respectful and led to a smoother and more sincere show.

I support this motion, though the caveat is I’ll start rooting for them to win

They played off the Bombshell winners, didn’t they?

I always hated playing winners off, but then Joaquin Phoenix and Renee Zellweger speeches happened.

This Google commercial was unreasonably sad when it played at the Super Bowl and my opinion on it hasn’t changed.

Holy hell, it happened. Brilliant when you think about it in light of the criticisms: the Academy just gave out top awards to a film no one could talk against. Incredible result any way you look at it though. Just wow

Also didn't feel the need to split up the recognition so everyone got a trophy. Excellent work

Well, I'm happy. It's not often a film in my top 10 (#2) of the year wins.

Jesus, they let Zellweger prattle on for two hours and then cut off the Koreans early.

A monumental breakthrough. A seminal moment in the history of cinema. Wow!

This is a triumph for the Academy. It took long but it is finally here.

Wait, is it too late to award 1917?

All the praise for Bong Joon Ho and Parasite winning Best Picture and Best International Picture makes me wonder if I missed something when I saw the film and ended up not liking it by a substantial margin compared to his other films of which I love Mother, Memories of Murder and The Host. Perhaps they'll give Tarantino a Lifetime Achievement Oscar.

Among the records set by Parasite tonight, Bong now ties Walt Disney with most Oscar wins in a single ceremony (4)
