As Mr Progressive, you prob shouldn’t be eagerly awaiting Cousin cousine
I've never seen it. Do I want to know?
You can read my thoughts here and decide for yourself, but I doubt you’d like it any more than I did
Yikes! Sounds like an episode of The Jerry Springer Show.

I'm not on Twitter, but just checked to see if they had made any statement there about the announcement. Nothing. If they don't make the announcement today, I might join just so I can ask.

If we don't get announcements today, I already have a "good" threadsplit title all lined up

They've been pretty good in the last year or so about announcing that they're delayed when that's happened, so I expect some kind of acknowledgement soon either way. If they don't come today I don't expect Criterion to be silent about it.

Technically, since last time they announced on the 18th it was in the middle of the day, this is already the longest delay of the Modern Era. Please be sure to update your scrolls accordingly

Well, now I'm secretly hoping they're delayed again. (Feel free to draw and quarter me if I've jinxed it, everyone else.)

The Big Sky is over. I'm on to some Stanley Donen to wait it out now.

Maybe if they drag it out long enough the pun of releasing At Long Last Love will make it even more satisfying?

And to reward my hubris, it'll no doubt include fully-restored versions of "Etiquette" and that TV verse of "Tomorrow"...

Did you send your hard work to Criterion and/or Bressonaire?

Is there any other label that announces 4-5 new titles on a specific day of each month? Because they don’t have to do it, right? And don’t we take it for granted? We’ve been so spoilt that when we don’t get the announcements, we get upset, throw tantrums and promise to burn all our criterions. :)

I sent a letter to Bogdanovich a few months ago, but he never responded. I'm considering burning my ascots in protest.

Maybe announcements weren't yesterday because they're incredibly lackluster and Criterion wanted to spare swo birthday disappointment?

Can't be anymore lackluster then whatever Arrow has announced this year.

You could email Mulvaney and casually offer your own restorative work if they are by chance working on a release, and see what he says. It may be a dream, domino, but I'm holding out hope that someone loves this film enough to rescue it before Fox titles are swallowed up!

Happy belated birthday swo! Did you wish for a release of The Irishman?
I did not

Since they bought Kindergarten Cop instead of The Irishman they're still trying to decide how to announce that.

Moonstruck is pretty widely beloved, I don't get why its release deserves any ire.

Moonstruck is solid three star romantic comedy with a good turns from the pair of Oscar winners and John Mahoney (who was robbed of a nom). Not at all a title I thought Criterion would be interested in
