Yes you've made it clear that you hate the film several times. Meanwhile, I'm preordering it.

Great news! I’ve long wanted to see this in 3D. Nice!

How are people watching 3D nowadays? i thought modern TVs were largely incapable of it.

I retained my old 3D OLED when buying a new OLED this year, and hook it up to my sound system when I want to watch a 3D disc (which obviously isn't very often, since they make up around 2% of my collection).

But yes you're right that since 2017, 3D has been unavailable on TVs and has become exclusively available on projectors only.

Projector. It's amazing, though the number of good titles is very limited.

I'm counting on each new Avatar film to renew the fad, which should leave me set for life

Good forbid. Though whatever it takes to get another Hugo.

Vinegar Syndrome is getting into the theatrical distribution business. Debut title is New York Ninja, filmed in 1984 but unfinished and missing its soundtrack. The overdub cast has some very familiar names. This will be followed by the Sundance-approved Censor, a new film set in the Video Nasty era.

September titles are:
Devil Story
Resurrection
Shallow Grave (1984)
Blades
Debbie Does Dallas Part II (Peekarama)

And from partner labels:
For Madmen Only (Utopia)
Kid Candidate (Gunpowder and Sky)
Wild Tigers I Have Known (Altered Innocence)
Duck! The Carbine High Massacre (Saturn's Core)
What Really Happened to Baby Jane? / Films of the Gay Girls Riding Club (AGFA)
WNUF Halloween Special (Terror Vision)
Primetime Panic (Fun City) - contains Freedom, Dreams Don't Die, and Death Ride to Osaka

Devil Story sounds fascinating, these French semi-lost or hidden oddities are always a hoot. :D

Also looking forward to Resurrection, Russell Mulcahy is an interesting director. When might we see the insane Ricochet?

That's great to see Wild Tigers I Have Known coming from Altered Innocence. I never got to see it at the time despite loving a lot of the soundtrack musicians.

Dual-format UHD/3D Blu-ray releases are very rare, and most welcome!

Black Friday pre-order package is up:
• FLESH FOR FRANKENSTEIN - 4K UHD/BD
• TRAUMA (English cut and Italian theatrical cut)- BD
• CREATURE (theatrical and Titan Find cut)- BD
• SECRET RELEASE #1 - 4K UHD/BD
• SECRET RELEASE #2 - BD
About the 2 secret releases
But that’s not even close to being all as there’s two more titles which we’re not gonna tell you about…perhaps the craziest of the bunch…the surprise titles, one of which will mark our first release of a film from a country known for producing some of the most incredible and unique (not to mention gory) horror of its period, which we're bringing to UHD, and the other, a long overlooked American horror supernatural gem that we're proudly bring to BD for the first time. We can basically guarantee that you're not gonna be disappointed

There was a post in the Hong Kong cinema thread that said a cult label was going to start releasing Hong Kong titles before the end of the year. So I'm going with Hong Kong.

To pre-order or not to pre-order, even though I really only want Flesh for Frankenstein? Are the others worth it?

I went for it; I can always sell the titles that aren’t to my taste. I’ve only ever seen Trauma in unsubtitled Italian, on its original release in its native country.

That was me! I can confirm the label I heard about was NOT Vinegar Syndrome and the films were not gory ones, but were rare martial arts films. They’ll probably come out next year.

Thanks for the clarification. (Severin is working on a Brucesploitation box set, but that is known, so I doubt if that is who you are talking about.)

I guess the VS mystery title could still be a Hong Kong title, but now I doubt that it is.

Unfortunately it IS that. I had no clue that was public knowledge. When was it mentioned? They’re doing the odd sequels to The Big Boss and Fist of Fury, which are frankly quite bad but fascinating.
