James Flower confirmed on Twitter that there will be more than 2 Shawscope sets, and that they will look to add some Chor Yuen films to it.

Fran reveals something new is coming from this year's Berlinale.

anyone have any idea what it could be? Hong and Taviani have seen previous releases from Arrow, Denis and Golden Bear winner Alcarras are also possibilities. interested to see what comes

He just said "from Berlin." It could mean European Film Market, the festival's industry wing. The market is not limited to festival entries. There was "a total of 1,300 market screenings of 827 films took place, including 600 premieres" this year.

Among the festival entries, the first thing that comes to my mind is the new Dario Argento film Dark Glasses, given that Arrow doesn't seem too interested in "Academy" titles like Hong or Taviani lately, after the merge between "Video" and "Academy" last year.

The Argento film was bought by Shudder, so it isn't that.

Arrow are teasing this week's announcement with a picture of bacons. BarnDoor on the other forum thinks it could be Wild Things. Kevin Bacon is in it, it'd be their second John McNaughton following Henry, and it apparently has a cult following of its own.

Very welcome, not one but possibly two McNaughton films in 4k.

Hopefully they’re successful releases that potentially pave the way for more like The Borrower and Normal Life, at least on Blu ray.

One Armed Boxer getting a release means that Arrow has a deal with Fortune Star. I wonder if they will be releasing all the other titles already released by Eureka/88 Films or if they will also be releasing titles not yet released by either company.

Some of those are probably still with Miramax (Iron Monkey, Dragons Forever, Armor of God 1 & 2, Project A 1 & 2, Wheels on Meals, Zu, Twinkle Twinkly Lucky Stars, Dragon Lord, The Master) and some are with Criterion (Young Master, Fearless Hyena, Spiritual Kung Fu, My Lucky Stars.) Other than those, I imagine that there will be a lot of the same titles from Arrow.

Fran tweets that he is about to sign a deal including several "bucket list" titles for release in 2023. If it's the Golden Princess catalogue with the Woo films amongst others, I'd do a happy dance.

Based on this tweet from translator Dylan Cheung, it sounds like the issues holding up the Golden Princess titles is still there.

Going back to this, it seems as if the HK titles that Miramax owns are now up for grabs since Criterion was able to gain the rights to 'The Heroic Trio'. Also, is Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars a Miramax title? I swear I've seen it on the list of Golden Harvest titles that is owned by Warner Bros.

The WB title is Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Star not Stars.

My first thought was Freddie Francis's Mumsy, Nanny, Sonny and Girly, but it's a long time since I last watched it and can't remember if a television has relevance. Unless the television is to show it was something originally intended for television - at which point The Spider's Stratagem popped into mind.

It could be the Branagh version of Sleuth - that's not a Fox film.

As I understand it, this doesn’t have anything to do with it being a Fox title, but the rights owners refusing to give distribution for a reasonable figure given the money they got for the sequel, as if they’re equitable domains for similar monetary expectations
