Well, I'm be just grateful to have The Wild Child, Small Change & The Green Room on Blu Ray. Don't mind having double copies of the titles already released by TT.

Coming July 19th!
https://www.kinolorber.com/product/mart ... on-blu-ray

Marty (1955)
• Brand New 4K Masters
• NEW Audio Commentary by Entertainment Journalists/Authors Bryan Reesman and Max Evry
• Includes Both the 1.85:1 and 1.37:1 Versions of the Film
• Theatrical Trailer
• Limited Edition O-Card Slipcase

B&W 94 Minutes 1.85:1 | 1.37:1 Not Rated
America—and the world—fell in love with Marty, the first film to win both the Best Picture Oscar and the Cannes Film Festival’s Golden Palm. “I’ve been looking for a girl every Saturday night of my life,” says Marty Piletti (Ernest Borgnine, The Vikings). Yet, despite all his efforts, this 34-year-old Bronx butcher remains as shy and uncomfortable around women today as on the day he was born. So when he meets Clara (Betsy Blair, A Delicate Balance), a lonely schoolteacher who’s just as smitten with him as he is with her, Marty’s on top of the world. But not everyone around him shares Marty’s joy. And when his friends and family continually find fault with Clara, even Marty begins to question his newfound love—until he discovers, in an extraordinary way, the strength and courage to follow his heart. Nominated for eight Academy Awards and winner of four, including Best Actor for Borgnine, Best Director for Delbert Mann (Separate Tables) and Best Screenplay for Paddy Chayefsky (Network), Marty is a masterpiece of warmhearted storytelling.

There’s a selfish part of me that thinks this should just be a disc replacement program.

Jennifer Jones’ worst performance (and unbelievably nominated for Best Actress), this is possibly the most absurd film Hollywood ever attempted to treat seriously. It is so bad that I guess it should be preserved for future generations!

On the other hand, it's the best thing Ayn Rand ever wrote.

I mean, I never read the source text but the Fountainhead movie with Gary Cooper is better than this (talk about damning with feint praise!)

Duel in the Sun too. It could be better (bit rate isn't that high, there seems to be some degraining and the color could be better) so I'm hoping this is a sign that a better transfer is on the horizon. Wishful thinking perhaps but the kind that's very bearable given everything else going on in the world.

Edited to add: I checked the Kino thread at Blu-ray.com forum and the Kino Insider posted that Disney didn't want to renew their deal and the Bava rights holder wanted too much money so Kino passed on renewing them.
----
I wonder if the same legal issue that kept Arrow from renewing the Bava films has cropped up in the US or if someone else will be able to take a stab at them.

Trilogy of Terror and the two Kolchak movies have also been added to the "While Supplies Last" sale.

Criterion loves Huston, and I hope they take a pass on Prizzi. It’s such a vibrant, beautifully-composed film, and that Blu just doesn’t do it justice, to put it mildly

Brand New Dolby Vision HDR Master!

RONIN (1998) Starring Robert De Niro, Jean Reno, Natascha McElhone, Stellan Skarsgård, Sean Bean & Jonathan Pryce – Co-Written by David Mamet (Heist) – Directed by John Frankenheimer (The Manchurian Candidate, The Train).
It wouldn't be the first time that they had some kind of censorship (their "The Eiger Sanction" release removes the "pat" sounds on the film's two ass slap shots).

The other annoying thing about that Sacco and Vanzetti release is that it supposedly has the Italian dub but no subtitles for that track.

This is pretty awesome!

Triple-layered disc...yikes! I wonder if that's asking for trouble down the road given how disc issues seem to be more common with dual-layered discs (with the layers partially separating on a microscopic level).

Ah. I guess we’ll find out eventually then.

EDIT: Apparently Xbox users are noticing playback problems with triple layered UHD’s that do not plague dual layered UHD’s. Probably a console specific issue though.
