Here's my comparison of the two Cockfighter releases:

1. Yes, the BD has an ever so slightly wider aspect ratio, filling up the entirety of a 16x9 screen. I don't consider this a material difference.
2. The BD image is clearly brighter and more detailed. The DVD looks dull in comparison. The print has not been cleaned up. If I get close to the screen I can tell that compression on the BD isn't top notch, but from a normal viewing distance I think it looks pleasing.
3. It's unfortunate that the BD is barebones, when the DVD has an hour-long Warren Oates doc and a commentary with Hellman and a couple other people.
4. If for some reason you prefer the title "Born to Kill" the BD has a reversible sleeve.
Thanks swo! I guess the special feature is #4

Oh, I should also mention that I've confirmed it's Region A-locked

Someone at the Blu-ray.com forum said they received a review copy of Scream Factory's upcoming Candyman UHD and it looks to have been authored by Arrow.

Cockfighter is 60% sold out
Brain Eaters is 88% sold out (buy it, it's great!)
Dr. Strange is down to 100 copies (like with the MCU version, this IP falls toward the high end of its peer group, for whatever that's worth)

I thought the same just now, and then I checked DiabolikDvd. They still have some copies for us not in the US.

Are there any other Shout! exclusives that are worth getting, outside of Cockfighter? I didn't order this with that, and would like to get another title to qualify for free shipping, if possible

Crazy Mama/Lady in Red. One Jonathan Demme, and one Lewis Teague (with a good Sayles-script). Both of them Corman-productions.

I saw Crazy Mama a while ago and wasn't crazy about it, but maybe I was too sane back then

Well there aren't too many other choices among exclusives, but you can always add one of their regular releases to your cart to qualify for free shipping

For what it’s worth, I really liked the other part of the double bill. It’s another take on the familiar Dillinger-story, with a good supporting cast, including Louise Fletcher and a nasty turn from Christopher Lloyd. Dick Miller pops up too, of course.

I just remembered that if you buy their Ernie Kovacs set for Take a Good Look it comes with an exclusive bonus DVD of "Private Eye, Private Eye" which was an episode of The United States Steel Hour which aired three of the teleplays on Criterion's Golden Age of Television set. You'll recognize Kovacs from his Quine films, and his wife Edie Adams played a small but critical role in The Apartment. TAGL is a game show with heavy contributions from Cesar Romero and Hans Conried (the voice of Captain Hook) as well as appearances from Carl Reiner, Janet Leigh, William Bendix, and others. The players guess who a special guest is via a series of clues that are mostly absurdist non-sequitur comedy sketches like Kovacs did on his other shows available on other Shout releases. There's a lot to sift through and it's all kinescope quality, but I'd say it's worth a look if you're interested in this era

I’ll be especially crazy and say it’s one of Sayles’ best scripts.

The Lady in Red was very good- probably my favorite of the pack (though I like Brain Eaters too). It's simultaneously weaving an (intentionally) unevenly-structured girl-on-the-run flick through a coming-of-age framework set against the backdrop of a morally decaying milieu, which as a prompt alone seems to demand locating an impossible tone to please all intersecting ideas. And yet the film manages to balance tragic and campy overtones alike, leaning into the aspects of growing up that deflate a fantasy of liberation, and the sleaze one finds themselves in when vying to engage with their world regardless. This movie hops around subgenres like wildfire without ever planting its feet firmly in any, venturing from Youth pic to Worker Injustice' to Women in Prison to Crime films, all under the umbrella of a Road movie with Noir fatalism in its DNA.

Ugh, another reason I have grown to hate Shout/Scream Factory: their latest site exclusive Blu-ray, limited edition of 1500 is The Ninth Configuration from a new 2K scan of the negative.

Obviously a new scan is probably better than an old scan, but features-wise this is identical to the Second Sight release in the UK.

I'd feel more comfortable pre-ordering if Scream's encoding was consistently good. If it's a poor encode, the new scan is pretty much wasted.

I think Blatty’s commentary has been on every single release of it dating back to WB’s snapper case DVD from 20+ years ago

As well as BDs of former Broad Green titles A Walk in the Woods, Learning to Drive, and Last Days in the Desert. Which raises the question if it’s possible Mia Hansen-Love’s Eden could possibly be in the queue (this could also theoretically end up with a UHD of Knight of Cups, if they were to be really crazy).

Having just received it, I can confirm we are still stuck with Herzog's German VO track. However Signs of Life is a night and day difference from the old New Yorker dvd and Wheel of Time + Wild Blue Yonder are nice upgrades too. All three are roughly 3-ish minutes longer than their old dvds which I assume is correcting PAL speedups. Sad to lose the commentary tracks from Signs of Life and Wild Blue Yonder though as there doesn't seem to be any extras or alternate audio tracks at all in the set.
