I keep hoping for this one as well, although I don’t think there has been any indication of it coming. It’s incredible how under-seen this film is given the talent behind it. Amazing score from Jan A.P. Kaczmarek.

Petite Maman is in the German blu-ray box set; which is very nice. There is a 4K restoration of "La Naissance des Pieuvres"; subtitles are removable; booklet is in German, but there is no logo on the box set which looks really nice (a painting from Portrait de La Jeune Fille en Feu).
I know Plain Archive release its own box set with some outtakes and audition (probably the audition of Adèle Haenel you can find on youtube) but it has went out-of-print before I knew they release a Sciamma "coming of age" bo set. I remember a press conference with audience QA where Adèle said that they had in mind "Sharon Stone" for her character; a savor cocktail of sexy and lofty.
I hope that Criterion will do the same. [-o<

And why not A.Kechiche "L'Esquive" on blu-ray ? The DVD quality of the French DVD is abyssal; the trailer on the DVD looks more detailed and less compressed than the movie. It was sold as a "banlieue" movie by an obscure editor with some graffitis on the menu, etc... no HDTV transfer; despite the critiques, prices (Césars, etc...) and public/audience, this movie got a very poor DVD in France.
Of course the Part 2 of Mektoub is still in my wish, but I don't see it could see the light of the day; and initially Kechiche was supposed to add bonus for "Blue Is The Warmest Color" (there are some outtakes on the French Blu-Ray if I'm not mistaken) (like he did - some interview on the Criterion) for La Graine et le Mulet.

After Sunset is probably for me the best movie I have seen so far; just like last year "The Worst Person In The World". Mubi is on it for the UK BR release.

I sincerely hope that Michel Franco will be included in the Criterion collection : there is a Blu-Ray box set in Mexico : his last movie with Tim Roth (always so impressive) and Charlotte Gainsbourg was amazing, the dystopie movie "New Order" takes the best of Parasite (for the beginning) and push it to a higher stratosfear; and the uncomfortable - to say the least - Daniel Y Ana also deserve a blu-ray release.

A24 isn't interested in working with Criterion at the moment. they prefer to put out a barebones rental copy of their films for redbox and then release a deluxe edition later that all their rabid, hypebeast-esque fans go nuts for later on. if that, as many of their films didn't get such a treatment. if the two ever ink a broader deal, I'm....just gonna be very angry about it online, I guess. the redditors will lose their minds

I know a lot of people disagree with me, but I just don't see Warner Bros putting out their own 4K version of Rio Bravo. With a new 4K restoration headlining the TCM Film Festival -- I see Criterion putting it out later on down the line.

I'm getting pretty irritated at these visually rich TV shows getting DVD-only releases, if even that. Euphoria's first two seasons finally got a physical release... on DVD(?!) Who on earth wants to see that in 480i. You can also get the first two seasons of Atlanta in that form
