Re: Radiance Films General Discussion & Wishlist
A photo for an extra on a release for tomorrow was posted in the discord group - it's of a guy who looks a lot like Daniel Jenkins (O.C. from O.C. & Stiggs) wearing a shirt of Gould's Marlowe from Long Goodbye

Re: Radiance Films General Discussion & Wishlist
Assuming this is the photo they just posted to Twitter, this is Altman’s son Robert Reed Altman, who did work as an operator on O.C. And Stiggs but also worked in some capacity on almost all of his dad’s movies from Nashville on, so…therewillbeblus wrote:A photo for an extra on a release for tomorrow was posted in the discord group - it's of a guy who looks a lot like Daniel Jenkins (O.C. from O.C. & Stiggs) wearing a shirt of Gould's Marlowe from Long Goodbye

That's funny, my first reaction was "This guy looks like Altman," but I didn't even think of his son! I just looked at what various cast and crew members looked like today, and Jenkins looked closest but still didn't quite fit the bill - thanks for the correction!pzadvance wrote: Tue Apr 04, 2023 9:31 pmAssuming this is the photo they just posted to Twitter, this is Altman’s son Robert Reed Altman, who did work as an operator on O.C. Radiance shared on their Facebook feed that they got access to some recently discovered rare stills from O.G. & Stiggs so some or perhaps all of those might find their way into the booklet for the LE.

Yeah Fran posted them on the discord. They’re from Altman’s archives at U Michigan I believe

Yeah his FB post confirmed the University of Michigan located the stills.

Re: Radiance Films General Discussion & Wishlist
Those are the only two though. We definitely need all the other Deville films. A large chunk of his catalog is owned by Playtime, including L'Appartement des filles, L'Ours et la poupée, and L'Apprenti salaud but, when Fran enquired, they didn't have any HD masters available. I see that Playtime now show that Bye Bye Barbara, Benjamin ou les mémoires d'un puceau, L'Appartement des filles, Dossier 51, La Lectrice and Toutes peines confondues as being available in HD, so hopefully they'll also get around to the rest (or at least L'Ours et la poupée and L'Apprenti salaud) in due course.
Additionally, the CNC funded restorations of Ce soir ou jamais and Adorable menteuse at the same time as La Lectrice and Toutes peines confondues so there's presumably HD masters for them with their respective rightsholders as well.

From Radiance's socials:
If I remember correctly, Radiance's birthday posts for Truffaut and Altman were quickly followed by a title announcement so I'd be surprised if this doesn't signal a Szulkin release is forthcoming.Born on this day, a great, unsung filmmaker! Piotr Szulkin (1950-2018), director of some brilliantly dark, philosophical, controversial sci-fi films from Poland.

We also knew that a Sci Fi Box was in the works for this year, so this would seem to be that

Re: Radiance Films General Discussion & Wishlist
Yes very much so. I suggested they might do something like Golem in a previous post, but he also did a few other sci-fi titles (The War of the Worlds: Next Century, O-Bi, O-Ba: The End of Civilization, Ga-ga: Glory to the Heroes). I imagine it'll be at least three of those titles if that is the sci-fi box set previously teased!therewillbeblus wrote: Wed Apr 26, 2023 3:41 pm We also knew that a Sci Fi Box was in the works for this year, so this would seem to be that

Has anyone else had problems with shipping from Royal Mail recently? I received a tracking number for my order 2 weeks ago but I keep getting a message saying that the tracking information is not available.

Re: Radiance Films General Discussion & Wishlist
Yes, on the discord Fran said he looked into and fixed the issue earlier this week, so I assume it's only a matter of time. However, I've received three additional shipping notifications this week saying my bundle has shipped, but the tracking info isn't in the system on Royal Mail and when I enter into USPS it says it's been created but still not received. No idea what's up - I can be patient for however long I need to be, but I do wish I wouldn't get multiple "your item has shipped" emails if it hasn't!yoloswegmaster wrote: Fri Apr 28, 2023 6:50 pm Has anyone else had problems with shipping from Royal Mail recently? Re: Radiance Films General Discussion & Wishlist
I think the type of shipping they use (some sort of economy shipping) doesn't actually have end user tracking, although it has a tracking number. The tracking might be for internal Royal Mail purposes? The last package I received says "not trackable" even though it was delivered.

Re: Radiance Films General Discussion & Wishlist
I should be so lucky then that I'm 3 for 4 so far with my recent rarewaves orders from the UK. I asked Fran when the May bundle orders are likely to ship and he said it'll be soon so hopefully whatever issue is plaguing Royal Mail has been ironed out by then.

Re: Radiance Films General Discussion & Wishlist
Mine are untrackable until they hit our local postal system (Finland), after which they are visible there (left UK>>customs>>released>>en route>>out for delivery). It never shows anything at the Royal Mail site, however, only in the local tracking site. I use the cheap option, which takes on average a couple of weeks, though January bundle took two months.

Re: Radiance Films General Discussion & Wishlist
My most recent Eureka orders, untrackable, all took about two weeks to arrive. My Indicator order has been "Sender preparing item" since Tuesday.

Finally the release the film deserves! Hopefully this is able to stay in print for far longer than Code Red’s ever did.
