Incredible how Undefeatable has already sold 70% of its total unit despite it not even being out for a full day. I wouldn't be surprised if it were to be sold out by the end of the weekend. I guess people are fiending for that Godfrey Ho trash.

It's the 4K factor - VS could release anything in 4K and it would sell well

I was more commenting on how fast it was selling in comparison to a more popular title like Road House. However, I just realized that Undefeatable is included in both the subscription and the "Flash Preorder Everything" package while Road House wasn't included in any subscription, so that probably explains the fast selling rate.

Spirits of the Air, Gremlins of the Clouds from Umbrella looks interesting!
This release includes a bonus short film as an Easter egg, Eyeball aka In Your Eye made for MTV. You can access it by navigating left from the interview with Michael Lake

Is it worth picking up, either for the feature or the short?

I'd say yes if you like what Gilliam or Raimi were doing around this time

Anyone have a strong rec for Zerograd? It looks like it could either be fascinating or pitched at an irritating level.

I had a fun time with it, plays like a comedic Kafka satire of the decline of the Soviet empire. It’s filled with absurd set pieces (most notable being the famous head cake scene), good characters, and a good sense of warmth despite what the story may describe. Though I recommend watching it on the Mosfilm channel before trying to buy it, as I did, in order to truly determine if it’s good to buy or not.

Another thumbs up here – watched it on the Mosfilm YouTube channel just a few weeks ago and enjoyed it enough to buy the disc.

The Australian release had 2 Easter Eggs; the one you've described, and a 2nd: "Unrestored Opening Credit Sequence (4:35)
- On the special features tab, highlight "Commentary with director Alex Proyas", press left to highlight an eye, then press enter. "
Could you confirm the 2nd Easter Egg is also present on the US release?

Speaking of Zerograd, why is the English translation Zerograd anyway. The Russian title when directly translated means Zero City, it's on the back of the standard edition cover art, it's on the posters, it's on the credits even. So unless the director or studio choose to make it Zerograd, I don't really get it.

Presumably for the same reason that we don't refer to the Siege of Lenin City or the Battle of Stalin City.

It's generally known - certainly amongst people who'd be interested in watching Zerograd in the first place - that "grad" means "city", but keeping it in the original Russian makes it feel more Russian. You're in little doubt about the film's nationality from that title in a way that's far less clear if it had been needlessly translated.

I had this exact conversation with my Russian-speaking partner – she pointed out that "grad" is an old-fashioned word anyway, and that the original title uses "gorod", i.e. the generic word for "city". But I must say that "Zerograd" sounds much more compelling to my Anglo ears than "Zero City", and I guess the original international distributors felt the same because that's how it was titled in the UK, US and Australia when it screened at festivals and theatrically in the early 1990s.

Along with Spacked Out and Prague Nights, previously mentioned, highlights include Has's How To Be Loved from Yellow Veil (all but confirming that the label is dedicating itself to the filmmaker), and Bujalski's Funny Ha Ha from Factory 25.

I want to throw in a recommendation for Therapy Dogs. It's kind of amazing, an absolute punk-as-fuck hybrid doc/narrative shot in secret by actual high schoolers in their own school. It's wild that director Ethan Eng began this when he was 16 and became the youngest director to ever premiere a feature at Slamdance

Found this comment on the Blu-Ray.com forum responding to Prague Nights:
It does but honestly I don't have the patience anymore to read subs to watch a film, you really miss out on too much if you are having to concentrate on reading. Even considering selling all my non-english stuff soon.
