Spellbound (or Young and Innocent or Sabotage or a box of British Hitchcock)
I thought they already did a British Hitchcock box set, even if it is OOP, with The Man Who Knew Too Much, The 39 Steps, The Lady Vanishes, and Foreign Correspondent iirc.

Foreign Correspondent is an American film but you are right they did a box grouping those releases which had already been released separately. I am referring to the handful of British Hitchcock films they have (or had) the rights to which are not as popular as 39 Steps, Lady Vanishes and Man Who Knew Too Much and therefore may not perform as well in standalone editions:

Sabotage
Secret Agent
Young and Innocent

And if they could get anything else like The Pleasure Garden, that would be great too.

Like others, this is more of a desired wishlist than an actual guess.

Coffee and Cigarettes
Dog Day Afternoon [4K UHD]
I Know Where I'm Going! [Blu-ray upgrade]
The Man Who Wasn't There
Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid [4K UHD]
The Sweet Hereafter

Technically, the MGM DVD is not pan-and-scan, but a transfer of the full-frame negative (with extra headroom, etc.). So, you can zoom into the image to recreate the theatrical widescreen presentation (not that this is preferable or anything, so, yes, a proper Blu-ray release would be good).

Good to know! I didn't realize it was open matte. But yes, a true HD version in the proper AR would be amazing. I'm sure there's some cool stuff that could be extra as well. Robyn Hitchcock is still very active (I've seen him live several times and talked to him after shows). I bet he would do a commentary or interview and I know there were additional outtakes that didn't make the film because the CD soundtrack has extra songs including one written for the film that was excised ("Where Do You Go When You Die") and the double vinyl LP has any more extra songs.

Sorry if this is derailing the guessing thread.

I feel like Kino would probably be the ones to release it, not saying they’ll treat them like a Criterion release, but they’re a Blu-Ray company that has released a lot of the early British Hitchcocks so I could see them doing Young and Innocent or The Pleasure Garden. Though Sabotage and Secret Agent could work as standalone Criterion titles, especially Sabotage.

An inspired choice. The play is very familiar to many British students who have taken their A-levels

Except Criterion has long held the rights to and even sold digital copies of Sabotage, Secret Agent and Young and Innocent. Unless those rights have recently expired, they would come from Criterion and not Kino who has released British Hitchcocks that were held in the StudioCanal library.

Also, don't sleep on Young and Innocent. It is much better than Secret Agent and by my money also superior to Sabotage. Young and Innocent is another wrong man on the run thriller akin to The 39 Steps and North by Northwest and it includes a mesmerizing crane shot that feels like a rough draft for the famous shot in Notorious.

Ah I didn’t know about that, thanks. I like Young and Innocent but I honestly think that would work as a KL Studio Classics. Though I do think they are most likely going to do standalone releases of with a possible chance of maybe a small box set with them, like they’ve previously done with their other Hitchcocks.

I would certainly take either! It's been a while since the last Criterion Hitchcock. While not a box set per se, the most recent precedent for bundling in less popular Hitchcock titles was when Downhill was included as a special feature on The Lodger so Criterion has demonstrated that not every Hitchcock title is worth the gamble of a standalone release.
