Demolition Man is a personal favourite. I’d love a new commentary with Daniel Waters, whose screenplay revisions significantly changed the film for the better.

I'd love THX-1138, although presumably it will not be the original version and instead the somewhat compromised 2003 "Director's Cut". But if they could work out a way of getting both versions on there, that would be a candidate for release of the year.

The 4K restorations of The Searchers and North by Northwest premiered in April at the TCM Classic Film Festival (The Searchers was actually a 70mm print from a 6.5k restoration) and I'm sure they'll get home releases eventually. I suspect they didn't ask about those or any of the others because they have solid plans for them, but with WB god knows how long it'll be before they get around to all of them.

Not yet mentioned here, but the upcoming UHD release of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) on 10/1/24 includes both the theatrical and uncut versions of the film, restoring about 7 seconds of violence/gore cuts required by the MPA. I believe this is the first time since the European VHS/Laserdisc era that those shots have been restored in an official video release.

There's also notable rumors about the sequels getting similar treatment (even before they appeared on the survey).

Blazing Saddles, North by Northwest, and The Terminator coming on UHD this fall- only the third will have a full Dolby Vision grade..

Considering most of the other Hitchcocks look outstanding in HDR-only, hopefully the same goes for NbN

The back of the Blazing Saddles artwork lists the OG Mono. Anyone know if NbN will have it, too?

Warner has generally been good about including original audio tracks the last few years on their catalog UHDs.

AI: Artificial Intelligence
Logan’s Run
Demolition Man
Blade Trilogy
Barry Lyndon
Bullitt
Speed Racer
Constantine
Under Siege 2
Lolita (1997)
Soylent Green
Eyes Wide Shut
Under Siege
The Conjuring
Amadeus
Gremlins 2
Green Lantern
Them!
Corpse Bride
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
The Conjuring 2
A Nightmare on Elm Street 7 Film Collection
THX1138
Lethal Weapon
Lolita (1962)
Bond 6-Film Collection (Sean Connery)
Boogie Nights
Se7en
Gravity
The Haunting

Boogie Nights, A.I., and Eyes Wide Shut are all no brainers but it would be crazy to see a 4K release of Speed Racer.
This was posted in a different thread yesterday but Bill Hunt made a post saying that Logan's Run, both Lolita films, Gravity, Gremlins 2, and Boogie Nights were going to be released in December (the latter three being included in a boxset). Interesting that Demolition Man was a part of the survey, even though Arrow ended up announcing their own release. Likely means that some of the titles on this list have been licensed to the boutiques.

Barry Lyndon hopefully stays with Criterion and perhaps WB let them have Eyes Wide Shut too. The Haunting might be an Arrow UK title. Cliff mentioned some "classics" for the second batch.

It would be cool to see Arrow release Speed Racer on 4K.

Worth noting that A.I. is with Paramount in the US, while Warner has international rights.

Regarding the James Bond films, like Rocky these are basically waiting on MGM's time frame to move forward with them. Though my understanding is that for these handful of franchise titles MGM kept instead of doing 3rd party licensing Warner pretty much handles everything as long as MGM can dig up the assets.

I’m rather surprised The Wild Bunch didn’t end up on the list.

Anyone know if Wild Bunch is getting restored again? The BD was one of their first, wasn't it?

The rights must have reverted to Warner stateside since the official Youtube stream states that it is licensed from WB, while Apple TV includes it in a bundle titled "Warner Bros 100th Futuristic Thrillers 5-Film Bundle".

Wild Bunch, according to some Blu-ray.com posts by forum favorite Richard W., was licensed to Criterion. I haven't seen any other rumors to back his claims up, so who knows. I guess we'll eventually see if he actually was telling the truth or if he was blowing smoke.

Surprised and disappointed that Criterion isn’t going for Lolita ‘62, since it was a previous laserdisc release.

There was nothing on the laserdisc except the trailer, it’s no great loss.

Honestly impressed by the laziness of the cover. They couldn't even be bothered to center the title lol. I'm hoping this is not the final cover and is just a placeholder.

That screams placeholder to me, so watch it be the actual art.
