I have avoided this series, and was shocked to find out that apparently they didn't cover the Grand Knockout Tournament show, that was the first thing to shift public perception of the Royal Family years before the Charles & Di divorce and the Prince Andrew stuff. That should have acted as the cautionary tale about trying to court the media that the Royals did not appear to learn the lesson from.

The packaging for this splits up the seasons 1-4 and 5-7, so, someone at Warners knows what they’re doing and I can just dump the second case in a box under the bed

Nigel Kneale's The Stone Tape coming to blu-ray December 9. Definitely in for that.

God I have been waiting to watch this in a "somewhat" HD version for years. Finally!

It makes for a fun thematically similar 'ancient evil being unleashed' triple bill with in between Quatermass and the Pit and Halloween III: Season of the Witch too!

Now confirmed that whilst the BD will use the 16x9 ratio version, the UHD will be 4x3 (but also a Limited Edition).

Is the UHD the correct presentation?

Figured, just wanted to confirm - hopefully the LE doesn't sell out too quick

Absolutely bizarre decision from Sony to produce the Blu-rays with wrong aspect ratio and also to artificially limit the availability of the 4K set for no reason. Physical contents of the sets look identical, just different format discs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Based on Amazon.com listings, the 4K UHD set also includes 2-part cast roundtable (not on 1080p BD set).

Is Sony trying to drive sales of its UHD players? (Serious question)

It looks like the MSRP of the UHD Seinfeld set just went up on Amazon. I have little hope for a discount down the line
