The 2024 version of Emmanuelle was released in UK cinemas on Friday and has been getting quite scathing Guardian reviews. But I'm curious as to how the film is going to turn out.

Maybe he jumped on an available job after his Scream movie fell apart (he would have been perfect for that!). And where is that third Happy Death Day movie which I thought was going to happen after all? I'm less excited about a Christopher Landon movie that he didn't also write but this looks like it could be fun. Reminds me of the type of one-location high-concept thriller Larry Cohen wrote screenplays for in the early 2000s.

Yeah, Landon is a director of such wit that I can easily see him exploring the possibilities of this kind of premise to creative proportions, like repurposing Nerve into a horror film
