Re: The Heimat Saga (Edgar Reitz, 1984-2013)
I have the original Tartan/Artificial Eye DVD box sets and all the relevant software/technical experience, so I could conceivably rip their subs and sync them to the French BDs – and I have to say that I'm pretty tempted.

There is also a German release by StudioCanal with this content according to a Amazon review:
1. Heimat (5 Blurays)
2. Heimat 2 (7 Blurays)
3. Heimat 3 (3 Blurays)
4. The Other Home (1 Bluray)
5. Heimat (3 DVDs) : Prologue (Stories from the Hunsrück villages), Epilogue (The Women) and bonus material.
Studiocanal’s encodes on the BDs may be superior than the Potemkine as theirs are often disappointing. I’ve got several of their BDs and they’re nothing to write home about.
Currently the SC set is 130€ though but I’m expecting for it to go down later this year.
