It's not that I don't want to see them release films for thouse countries, but as a teaser for upcoming announcements, mentioning these three alone does not raise any excitement.

It is starting to get a tad stale, I agree. There are a number of restored Canadian films that I would love to see. Many neglected gems from the Netherlands, too
Canada has Canadian International Pictures although they’re Region A locked but I agree that there’s so many nations without excellent cinema that don’t have boutique releases. Speaking of which, does anyone know what happened to Mawu Films? They had a very strong start but just fizzled out without a third release, was hoping they’d at least release Glauber Rocha’s Entranced Earth but since their release of Black God, White Devil, it’s been just radio silence from them.

Yay to the Japanese crime set and the early Almodovar. Would rather that they added new films to 4K instead of upgrading existing ones.

What do we consider early Almodovar, pre-Deseo? That would mean either Pepi, Luci, Bom; Labyrinth of Passion, or Matador.

Premieres from the Years of Lead/Anni di Piombo...TODO MODO - Elio Petri (1976) hopefully may be one... There's a 2014 restoration by Cineteca di Bologna and the Museo Nazionale del Cinema di Torino, in collaboration with Surf Film...
The Visconti may be BELLISSIMA in the 2023 restoration by the CSC – Cineteca Nazionale in collaboration with Compass Film, who have released it on BR in Italy with mixed results, leaving room for improvement...

Wonder what French New Wave titles they’re rescuing. If it was a name director I suspect they’ve had said so, so hopefully we’re getting some of the more neglected titles (…in a box? 🤲)

...but on the off chance it ISN'T that, I wonder what it is

Well, they mention Godard. So, Les carabiniers might a possibility. They could also fill the blu-ray gaps in his 60s filmography by
getting out Deux ou trois choses que je sais d'elle and Made in USA. If it's any 60s Chabrol I'd be over the moon (though I
doubt it).

There’s no way they bury a Godard film in a box (also I doubt they’d tease the same release twice in their teaser). Chabrol maybe (the label has been markedly absent of any talk of Chabrol, I wonder if the poor sales of the Arrow sets spooked him [though this was self-inflicted since almost all of those titles already had Blu-ray releases in the states and Arrow’s versions looked worse to boot])

Also, Fran is clearly a huge Lino Ventura fan (I still can’t believe they went with the Serrault/Ventura cover for the Claude Miller two pack when the Serrault/Adjani cover on the flip side is infinitely more arresting), we should probably start compiling possibilities that he starred in (though once we did that with Trintignant he stopped releasing them!)

it's basically all but confirmed that Histoire(s) du Cinema is coming for Godard, and would be its own box of sorts. if there's any other Godard titles I highly doubt they get boxed, especially considering we're getting all the MGM Truffaut titles as individual spines

Giuseppe Tornatore’s The Professor with Ben Gazzara, please. I’d love to see its Italian television cut

There's a tiny bit of Deville coming out in December, although I'm not sure clips from Benjamin intercut with Dominique Sanda looking impassive is quite what you meant.

Hopefully it gets released in a second volume of Italian comedy films, especially because it allows the opportunity for Una Vita Difficile to finally be released.

I would be stunned if the second volume of Italian comedies ever surfaces, they only recently sold out of the first

Fran mentioned in an episode of the Radiance Films Podcast, I believe on from a year ago, that sales potential for a title doesn't really factor into making a second volume of a box because it already be in development before the first set's sales even go up iirc. So based on that, it's possible that we could another set, especially because I don't see how Il Sorpasso gets released in a box set but Mafioso gets released in a standard edition.

I wonder if it could be Hideo Gosha's "Onimasa: A Japanese Godfather"?

that is also Toei and a good candidate, but I lean it to being the Godfather Trilogy since there's another hint for a Japanese crime boxset that got pushed off the 2025 schedule. that would be a good title for Radiance to release though!

A question for the Radiance 3 Year Gold Package subscribers: which films will conclude our subscription?
Thanks!

December's three releases (Splendid Outing, Le notti bianche, Une femme douce, plus the Dirty Arthouse zine) will be the last for the Gold subscribers. It was nice while it lasted! Easily the best home video purchase of my life.
