I'm certain that most, if not all, of the films in the set are being licensed from Oshima Productions and not the big studios, so they probably don't care about region locking.
That would explain it.

Really eager to dig into these films after doing some initial reading about them. What an impressive release at a fair price!

Big Ben wrote: Sat Aug 09, 2025 1:47 am Pleased to see this set includes Boy, which is one of Oshima's most moving and least acidic content wise. A genuinely sincere and deeply moving film that somehow, someway even more culturally relevant now than it was when Oshima took the plot from the papers!
This is an astonishing film that manages to be as formally inventive as any of Oshima's other films while also being much quieter and more human. Can't wait to see it again.

If you take a shot every time you see a Japanese flag in the frame you won't even make it halfway through.

Any packaging photos or impressions yet? Today's technically the street date, right?

I’m actually trying to locate a copy IRL while in Scotland, I’ll weigh in with pics if I have better luck tomorrow. HMV had an impressive selection of Radiance (and other boutique label) titles, but not this one

Guessing it's going to be massive, will be pleasantly surprised if it's not nine full-width DVDs wide!

On the Discord, Radiance (Bruno) mentioned there’s a slight delay on this one arriving to their warehouse. So I don’t think shipments have started yet.

I swear I saw some photos somewhere, but now I can’t find them. The cases were the usual width with multiple films per case.

Actually, just found the photos. They're on the Radiance website. I'm counting 3 cases total.

Fopp is your best bet; there’s one in Edinburgh, another in Glasgow. Not sure if Dundee still has one.

But yeah I preordered this long ago and I suspect the preorders will go out before it ends up on store shelves.

Hopefully it appears before you have to leave!
Enjoy Scotland! Check out the Filmhouse in Edinburgh and Glasgow Film Theatre if you can.

Mine's arriving tomorrow, but someone on BR.com received theirs already. No pics but a brief rundown of the box. Sounds like an all-timer, as expected. No doubt release of the year for me.

This, Deaf Crocodile’s Yuri Norstein set (assuming it hits the streets in late December) and Shout’s A Better Tomorrow trilogy are all pretty much unbeatable now. An incredible year

Orbit sez this was indeed delayed a bit, but not by much. They should have new copies FS tomorrow.

I ordered the November package direct from Radiance & I believe this is the hold out, but mine hasn't shipped yet. I have been eagerly awaiting it & the Robert Hossein boxes since August.

Entirely possible! I tried to buy it at Fopp but their only copy was on reserve, but they found me one at HMV, where of course I had just been

£75 in London Fopp. Is it worth it?

Speaking only about the films themselves and a quick look at the special features, yes. This is a tremendous collection

I was going to say: unless the set doesn't actually contain the films it says it does, yes.
