Or rather, it’s been hived off to the Mélusine label.

Not sure if anyone else has flagged this online, but I remember listening to the DVD commentary of said star's film who said she was 17 when she made the film. So their mascot is a one-legged porn star who was a minor.Zot! wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 6:33 pm Fair enough, just being a jerk. Re: Vinegar Syndrome and Their Partner Labels
They've done that for a long time now, before partner labels were a thing the VS website was just closed for the entire December and June. Reason was that they got so many orders in the Black Friday and HTBF sales that they needed a month to get all of the shipping done and they didn't want to get new orders during that time as it would have only complicated the shipping process. Then partner labels came along and the intention of the partners-only months is to dedicate two months in a year for promoting those labels. VS is now able to handle new orders during December and June but they won't put their own releases back to the website in those months because that would defeat the purpose of giving the spotlight to the partner labels.Maladroit Aggregator wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 5:06 pmTheir business model is so fucking weird. On the one hand they're huckster shills for the worst junk, on the other, they'll apparently hide titles from the public for 30 days? Tired of games these companies play.CSM126 wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 5:01 pmIt’s Partners Only month. All VS tiles are hidden to drive focus on their partner labels. I was checking on At Close Range in my order history, but the actual product listing is absent.

Standard editions typically get reprinted, especially if they sell like hotcakes. I think the only thing preventing a reprint would be the rights lapsing, and I don't see that being an obstacle here.
In any case, that's what I'm betting on because I would like to grab a copy at some point, but wasn't inclined to pay the full price.

Yeah, but...and I REALLY don't want to get involved here, wouldn't VS be responsible for making sure the participants were legal in ALL states they distribute this to.knives wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 3:25 pmA minor in some locations, but not others. The Elegant Dandy Fop wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 6:35 pmNot sure if anyone else has flagged this online, but I remember listening to the DVD commentary of said star's film who said she was 17 when she made the film. It would have been wonderful with a +4hr Dante/Davison commentary on The Movie Orgy, but I guess they weren't up for it at this point.

Once again Film Movement has fucked it up. Their Shall We Dance? release is almost unwatchable despite being sourced from a 4K restoration. If they keep doing these amateur-level encodes I'm not getting anything from them in the future. A shame they seem to be in possession of quite a lot of essential Asian cinema.

What a shame, won’t be buying it now. I’ve told them and VS about this before but of course they don’t care. As with every previous Subscriber Week, new releases and merch will be added to the VS site at exactly 12:01 PM ET each day. This year, look forward to a genre bending 4K debut from VSU, a 1970s New Hollywood masterpiece and a 1980s classic both from Cinématographe, a 50s monster deep cut from VSL, the next in our Satô series from Pink Line (in collaboration with Mélusine), plus the debut duo from our latest Sub-Label, Iconoscope, which will bring to 4K a 70s horror TV movie classic along with a Blu-ray collection of a 1950s horror series.

The Cinematographe releases are speculated to be Married To The Mob ('80s classic) and The Gambler ('70s New Hollywood masterpiece) for anyone wondering.
