I've submitted my list, but I couldn't find twenty vampire films I actually liked enough to vote for, and ended up just zhizzhing my original short list with no new additions.

EDIT: I've got four lists (plus mine) in, and the original deadline is midnight EDT tonight. Seeing as how there are two other lists (Forum Awards and 2001 Mini-List) with voting ending March 31, and the Musicals Redux won't start until May, let's go another month until midnight EDT Monday, April 20 until we drive a stake into this project.

If anyone who's already submitted a list wants to revise it, please go ahead and just send me a new list.

Even if we don't reach our goal of ten lists, I'll still do a loose tabulation of films that got more than one vote.

zedz, did you vote for anything that's worth a plug? For instance, I just realized while writing this post that I had forgotten about Cuadecuc, vampir.

I'd appreciate a little more time. I knew the deadline was this week but I didn't realize it was before the weekend

Okay, I revised my post above. We can extend the undeadline until midnight EDT Monday, April 20. (Speaking of 4/20, we should do a stoner films mini-list sometime.)

I submitted 20, and even that had to be whittled down from a longer list.

I'll plug Joe Begos' Bliss. An energetic, exploitation-styled riff on The Addiction, with Dora Madison as an abrasive artist whose sudden vampirism fuels both her art and her spiral of destruction.

I was poking around for interesting and obscure marginal offerings, but came up pretty short (while remembering a whole lot of interesting films that could have qualified for a 'zombies' list!) I think everything I ended up voting for has been mentioned in the thread, except possibly for my number one, which I suspect might also be domino's number one.

Of my fifteen films, 20 or 33% of them are Dracula movies, and they come from nine different countries (or ten if you go by the director's nationality). About a third of them would probably not be accepted as vampire movies by actual vampires, but I'm not going to test that hypothesis.

I do not recommend these Aussie ones: Outback Vampires (1987) and Bloodlust (1992)

Actually, I don't know why I thought domino might have ranked this (other) film his number one, but I know he likes it.

The only things on my list I think you’d vote for is
Spoiler
Valerie and Her Week of Wonders and Murnau’s Nosferatu
and I’m sure it’s the first one you’re talking about. I’m just going to guarantee that you did not vote for my actual number one, though, unless the mysteries of taste have diluted

Spoiler
Number two! My number one is a “traditional” vampire movie, ie what I think of when I think of vampires. Beyond that, I’ll just give the hint that it was parodied on the Simpsons

The Last Vampire on Earth will take that spot on my list, if only for the climactic speech!
