Re: Vinegar Syndrome and Their Partner Labels
Controversial 90’s comedy/drama-hoping for Kissed (1996). An MGM title, and it’s been discussed in one of their Art House zines

Ferrara = Body Snatchers from WB, no?

Yep. Drastically cut down by said studio and its producer as well

Unless they add in a whole lot more Meg Tilly I don’t think it’s gonna help

Body Snatchers has some of my favorite cinematography ever and I thought that even seeing it first on the drastically undersaturated Warner Archive Blu-Ray, a good restoration would be major.

It has such a strange, albeit fairly effective and almost elliptical ending. I know its editor has said that the released version feels like a trailer for what was really intended.domino harvey wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2026 10:32 pm Unless they add in a whole lot more Meg Tilly I don’t think it’s gonna help
It’s a wonderful work. The practical effects are on par with The Thing and The Blob (1988), with the bathroom/ceiling collapse being just amazing

Re: Vinegar Syndrome and Their Partner Labels
One of my favorite moments in '90s cinema is her saying "Where you gonna go? Where you gonna run? Where you gonna hide? Nowhere. 'Cause there's no one... like you... left." It's as chilling to me as the part where Donald Sutherland points and screams in the 1978 version. The movie is uneven, especially the military parts, but when it's working, it's great.domino harvey wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2026 10:32 pm Unless they add in a whole lot more Meg Tilly I don’t think it’s gonna help
Honestly, I can't even remember what their sub-labels are anymore. VSA, VSU, VSP, VSL?

It doesn't really matter, they are all just ways to keep releases from being part of the subscription package.Matt wrote: Thu Jun 25, 2026 5:28 am

Is it normal for VS to not ship for almost four weeks? I placed my order on the first and haven’t heard anything still, and it looks like plenty of people have gotten the partner releases shipped/delivered with no problem in the interim. You’d think placing a large order early on would give you some degree of priority but I guess not

I placed a very large order on day one of the sale and it just shipped yesterday. This has happened in the past for me with them.

Mine got shipped off today. (It's pretty normal if you're not a subscriber.)

I got this email last month. Maybe they only sent it to people who ordered during a specific window:domino harvey wrote: Thu Jun 25, 2026 12:59 pm Is it normal for VS to not ship for almost four weeks? As an additional data point, my various orders shipped on the 15thThank you for taking part in our Halfway to Black Friday Flash Pre-order! Whether you picked up MACABRE, EXPLORERS, one of our EVERYTHING packages, or any of our other pre-order offerings, you’re in for an excellent haul!
Our warehouse team is hard at work prepping the new products, stacking your orders, and gearing up for an extremely busy month of shipping. We wanted to send over a quick update so you know what to expect, and don’t have to wonder where your order is.
We plan to begin shipping orders out on Wednesday, June 3rd. As with every month, shipments will begin with yearly Subscribers, followed by you, our Flash Pre-order customers. Following a sale of this size, we expect Flash Pre-orders to begin shipping around June 10th.
Please remember that we cannot ship all orders at once. Your best friend or your neighbor may receive their shipping notification before you do - this does not mean there’s an issue with your order. It simply means your order is still in queue and we will ship it out as quickly as we can. You can expect a shipment notification between June 10th and June 19th. If you have not received a shipping notification by June 19th, please feel free to reach out to our customer service team for assistance.
Once you receive your tracking number, please allow 24-48 hours for it to update in FedEx or USPS's system. They are also processing a large number of packages at this time, so updates might not be instant. If your package is stuck in transit on its journey to you, don’t sweat it! Give it at least 5 business days and 9 out of 10 times, that package starts moving again. And finally, if your order says it’s delivered but you don’t see it, give it a few more days. Sometimes carriers get ahead of themselves and mark a package as delivered a few days before they’re ready to actually deliver it.
If any of these timelines do not work for you or your summer plans, we can cancel your order before it ships, no questions asked. Just send us an email with the details!
Please remember that we have a 30-day policy for reporting damaged products and a 90-day policy for reporting disc playback issues. We strongly recommend checking your items upon receipt, as we may not be able to assist outside of these windows.
If you have any questions unrelated to the status of your order, our customer service team is here to help! Otherwise, we kindly ask that you refrain from submitting order status inquiries during this time, as they can slow us down drastically and do not affect how quickly your order ships out.

I got similar email but it said it will ship between June 18th to June 30th. So still in the window. I ordered close to the final hour of the sale so am likely the outlier.

Re: Vinegar Syndrome and Their Partner Labels
I didn’t get any kind of email like that. It’s absurd for it to potentially take a month or longer to ship out in stock items, especially at the prices they charge
