Dear Friends, Subscribers and Customers:
The time has come for me to cease the manufacture and sale of physical products. The box-sets of my films are already half-price from halhartley.com and will remain that way until we close this part of our operation at the end of the day on September 18, 2026.
My films will remain available for streaming from halhartley.com and its Vimeo OTT channel. Likewise, my music will remain available from halhartley.com as digital downloads while, of course, all my music can be streamed from various online music platforms. My books will always be available for purchase from online retailers like Bookshop.org, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.
Finally, the excellent Chicago Film Society is now the distributor for most of my films for public screenings including theatrical and festival engagements, worldwide.
Many of you subscribers to this newsletter—both individuals and institutions—have been backers of the crowdsourcing campaigns that have financed the creation of the box-sets and the building of halhartley.com so that my films can be easily streamed. Thank you all for contributing to that.
Please keep visiting halhartley.com — I’m not going away, just lightening the cargo a little bit.

Well, as dda1996a said, as there’s weirdly still not a Hal Hartley thread, this was just posted in his latest newsletter, for those who’ve not kept up with the Kickstarter releases of Hartley’s filmography:

Wish I saw this earlier. Long Island & Henry Fool Trilogies are already sold out on blu-ray.
