This reminds me of Wim Wenders preferring the English title “Wings of Desire” to the literal translation “The Sky Over Berlin.” I respectfully disagree with him, both because the Berlin setting is such an integral part of the film and because the expression “Wings of Desire” just makes no sense to me.

I've always thought Ali: Fear Eats the Soul (Angst essen Seele auf) was awkward, Live Flesh (Carne trémula) was inaccurate, and Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (¡Átame!) was too verbose and against the film's tone.
