Interesting about the inclusion of the new commentary. The Coen releases by boutiques (pretty much just Criterion) seem to, generally, have an aversion to “scholarly” extras. Even Kino’s Barton Fink didn’t get a commentary.

Isn't that because the Coens themselves think scholarly extras are a bit of a joke? I remember there was one commentary (on a Blood Simple dvd maybe?) where they got some English guy to do the whole thing as a spoof.
