Looks like you're suggesting an extra 6 months for each of the pre-1920s and the all-time list, plus pushing the 1930s after the all-time list? I'm not opposed to spreading out the time more if people want it, but a couple points:

1. The all-time list has limited eligibility restricted to maybe only around 600 films. It would be nice if people had enough time to watch everything they haven't seen plus anything they care to revisit but would a whole year be overkill?

2. Your proposed schedule pushes the 2020s up 6 months. I'd be hesitant to move that list up the schedule at all. I feel like some 2029 films will still be becoming more widely available during the first half of 2031

Quickly, to (1): no, a year would not be overkill. I have been averaging 50% viewed of all lists so far. I have some catching up to do. As to (2): we could kick it back another year?

Yeah, it's doable. How about this? If a couple more people post here that they're interested in extending either of those projects, I'll set up a poll for everyone to vote on what we'll do

I say yay to increasing the timeframe for the all time list, as I had such a good time going through that last round and I could conceivably get even closer to seeing them all this time

I still do not think any year prior to the 20s can sustain a month by month slot (and I’m not even sure I buy it for the 20s) and vote nay on that

I don’t want to a) jeopardize the project by sinking participation numbers or b) simply get on people‘s nerves for this, so I’m also happy to withdraw into my corner and be quiet.

I doubt anyone is annoyed with you, for what it’s worth. If an active list participant can’t propose ideas, what’s even the point As List Czar For Life (contract pending), swo is just stewarding these lists so that they get maximum participation and utilization in addition to providing guidance and a lot of thankless hard work!

I think the worst case scenario of spending "too long" on the pre-1920s is that people just have more time to focus on other things [cough]the experimental list[/cough]. But I'd like to see some interest from others before we consider changing that. Also, if we left the pre-1920s at 6 months and spent a year on the all-time list, it would change all subsequent decade lists to be running August to July. I know we settled on the current February to January schedule because of some people's year-end holiday schedule preferences. I don't know how those people would feel about a 6-month time shift

I won’t be spending much time on the 10s & earlier and maybe slightly less for the 20s than the 30s. But if we’re spreading the silent years out, I wouldn’t mind pairing it with themed list/s that takes more time & have more interest (ie noir) or with catching up for the All-time list if the list of titles is made available at the start so we can do both simultaneously.

I mean, you could even be working ahead on that now. The eligible films will be these plus whatever qualifies from 2000-2029 (which will be added to the list as soon as they qualify by appearing on at least two top 10s from their respective decades)

P.S. That list makes me feel a little better: I've seen 75% of the films. Still over 100 to view, not counting the 2000-2029 films. So a year would be much appreciated.
