Re: Quentin Tarantino
That poster just brought back almost forgotten memories of seeing Tarantino almost 30 years ago on stage in Boston performing in Wait Until Dark with Marissa Tomei, which was his true first theatrical experience. As I remember, he was ripped mercilessly from the critics which sent him into hiding, where he didn’t really emerge until Kill Bill. Hoping this experience is a more positive one for him!

Yeah, I've often thought this. I think the Dude is afraid to make that 10th. And if he ever does get around to it, I fear this long and bumpy wait is not going to be worth it.Lowry_Sam wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 7:12 pmAnother feature of NPD is that they get almost as much of a boost to their ego from negative publicity as positive, what they don't like is to be ignored/forgotten because it means they don't matter anymore. The Narrator Returns wrote: Thu Sep 10, 2026 6:43 pm Tarantino’s thing since the beginning has been “annoying turd who makes (mostly) great movies”, and that gets very hard to justify when he actively refuses to make movies in favor of doubling down on the “annoying” and “turd” parts.
