Jojo Dancer’s cover is pretty good

Winchester 73 is decent enough

Mother and The Whore’s cover is okay

The Grifters is abysmal.

Am I the only one who thinks Jimmy Stewart looks like Rock Hudson on that Winchester '73 cover?
You’re not wrong my friend!

The disc and the insert art for Scarface are so much better than the cover.

That is so often the case with Criterion. It's like they panic and go with key art that seems more commercial, not realizing that they could go for a much more striking option.

got Scarface in my possession and the booklet art clearly is the winner for me, would've made for a great cover. unfortunately the cover feels even worse in person

got it alongside Happiness and both packages just feel so flimsy. it was nice getting Pandora's Box in the flash sale and being reminded they can still "get there", much like the new Paper Moon mostly seems to

It's a good idea of Criterion's to use those cow visions, or whatever the hell they are, for the Drugstore Cowboy cover, but the execution is mediocre and doesn't really reflect what the film or even the visions are like. The cover also makes it look like Matt Dillon has a wart on his lovely nose, which he most certainly does not. (Was there ever a more beautiful man than Matt Dillon in this film? I'm thinking not.)

I like King Lear and Crossing Delancey. the other two new designs not so much...Drugstore Cowboy comes out looking like a Chuck Klosterman book cover

Punch Drunk Love still feels like a missed opportunity. that original DVD has such cool packaging even if it was a pretty bad disc

I honestly love that Performance cover as a wonderfully psychedelic little cover, I love the Cronos cover, and King Lear’s a pretty lovely design but the rest of February’s covers are just meh imo.
