Mondo Baltimore hosted a screening of Robin (1979), which will likely be released by Reviver.

So this could point to a deal with Lionsgate.Matt wrote: Fri Aug 14, 2026 3:16 am Just going off of IMDb keywords here, but is Jacknife (1989) a possibility? Filmed in several CT locations, about 2 Vietnam vets (Robert De Niro and Ed Harris), one of whom falls in love with the other's sister. Seems to be owned by Lionsgate. There was a German Blu-ray in 2009, though.
That picture definitely looks like an US Army helmet from the Vietnam War era.
At least there are a few suitable titles for the mainline of Vinegar Syndrome:
The Possession of Virginia (1972)
Death Weekend (1976)
Junior (1985)
The Sleeping Car (1990)
Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor (1990)
Black Magic Woman (1991)
Servants of Twilight (1991)
Pinocchio's Revenge (1996)
Carnival of Souls (1998)
Strangeland (1998)

If they have a Lionsgate deal, I could see them do the Sometimes They Come Back sequels.

Paperhouse is a major one. More Abel Ferrara, too (China Girl, one of his very best)

Re: Vinegar Syndrome and Their Partner Labels
Anyone know whether, if I order something the day before the store closes for the sale, it will be eligible for Add To Order during the sale? (I think it's safe to say it won't ship before the sale, lol) I want to pick up a title that's low stock but don't want to miss it in case it sells out on Tuesday...

I think I tried doing that once and they managed to ship it out right away so that I couldn't add anything to that order

The Cinematographe title is Jacknife. Partner label releases include:
Batch '81 (De Leon)
Le Joli Mai (Marker)
The Third Murder (Kore-eda)

Don't forget Mike Figgis' Megadoc. There's a disc release of the making of documentary than the actual film.

LIonsgate deal confrimed. It remains to be seen how many titles have been acquired. Perhaps they'll say something on Punk Vacation: An Unofficial Vinegar Syndrome Podcast.

I imagine both versions will get a North American release eventuallyHardNight'sDay wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2026 4:19 pm Don't forget Mike Figgis' Megadoc. There's a disc release of the making of documentary than the actual film.
There is a European disc that even includes a commentary
They really love Mike Figgis. I hope we’ll get Timecode

It's so frustrating that Megadoc gets a U.S. blu-ray release while this film it's about the making-of still hasn't

Robin (1979)
A young prostitute on the run poses for an art class and gets involved with an older man, while her pimp continues to search for her.

Monica Tidwell was the first Playboy Playmate to be younger than the magazine itself.

The pitch for Reviver 4 reads like "this time it's an actual good movie". I dunno, bro.

“There’s a lot of Jaglom coming” is what I say when I’m on the toilet after eating the diarrhea lettuce.
