Down by Law
Down by Law is presented in the aspect ratio 1.78:1. On standard televisions, black bars will appear on the top and bottom to maintain the proper image. On widescreen televisions the image should fill the screen. Supervised by director Jim Jarmusch, this new digital transfer was created in 2K resolution on a SCANITY film scanner from the original camera negative. Thousands of instances of dirt, debris, scratches, splices, and warps were manually removed using MTI's DRS, while Image Systems' Phoenix and Pixel Farm's PFClean were used for small dirt, grain, noise reduction, jitter, and flicker.
