Comedy legend W.C. Fields (It’s a Gift) stars in one of his most famous roles as The Bank Dick. Egbert Sousé (Fields) is an unemployed drunk who divides his time between the Black Pussy Cat Café and his dreadful family. After unwittingly capturing a bank robber, he lands a job as a security guard which leads to complete absurdity. Written by the comedian himself under the pseudonym Mahatma Kane Jeeves and directed by Edward F. Cline (Fields’ partner-in-gags on My Little Chickadee and Never Give a Sucker an Even Break), The Bank Dick is one of the great classics of American comedy!
