This Happy Breed
This Happy Breed is presented in the aspect ratio of 1.37:1. On widescreen televisions, black bars will appear on the left and right of the image to maintain the proper screen format. For the DVD edition, the picture has been slightly windowboxed to ensure that the maximum image is visible on all monitors. This new high-definition digital transfer was created at Technicolr Creative Services, London, on a Spirit Datacine from the restoration internegative, which was produced from the original YCM negatives.
The monaural soundtrack was restored from a sound print made from the original nitrate track negative. Clicks, thumps, hiss, and hum were manually removed using Pro Tools HD. Crackle was attenuated using AudioCube's integrated workstation.
