Release Notes on Restoration

Digital restorations of Half Loaf of Kung Fu, Spiritual Kung Fu, The Fearless Hyenas, Fearless Hyenas II, The Young Master, and My Lucky Stars were created from the 35 mm original camera negative, with Half Loaf of Kung Fu mastered in high-definition and the other five features remastered in 2K resolution. Scanning for all the films was performed on an ARRISCAN film scanner. The original monaural theatrical mixes and original English-dubbed tracks, when available, were provided by collectors dedicated to the proper preservation of Hong Kong cinema, while the 5.1 and 2.0 Cantonese tracks were made from optical soundtracks. The alternative English-dubbed track for Fearless Hyenas II was provided by Fortune Star Media Limited. Disc mastering: Pixelogic Media.
